Melanie Elfrink, MD, is no stranger to the residents of Marshall, or the staff of Fitzgibbon Hospital. Dr. Elfrink was a part of the hospital staff from 1994 to 2001. She rejoined the staff of the Fitzgibbon Hospital Emergency Department in November 2013 and has been serving as a hospitalist since April 2014. Dr. Elfrink received her medical degree at the University of Missouri in Columbia where she also did her residency. She is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Elfrink is known for her benevolence and involvement in her community as well as her interest and experience with medical missions to New Guinea, Haiti, El Salvador, Guatemala, Uganda and Belize.
